I was once asked the definition of appreciation from a real estate investor.  I answer, “It means to increase in value.”  He responded to me, “Do you appreciate yourself?”  What a mind blowing question?  Because if I truly did appreciate myself that, means I would have an ever increasing value of myself and my self worth.

What is your self-worth?

If you don’t know the answer to this question, then start with what do you do on a daily basis?  How much of what you do is for YOU?  How much is for others?  Of those “others” how many of them do you really CARE about?  How many of them are just “others”?  For the “others”, how much are you being paid?  Not necessarily in cash, but that’s the easiest way to monetize it.  Are you getting anything out of it?  What is your value to these “others”?  What is your self-worth?

Don’t be turned off

If you’re thinking to yourself, “Man, I don’t put much value on myself”, you’re not alone.  But, now that you know that, you are one of the enlightened few who know about it.  More importantly, now that you know about it, you can do something about it.  So the time is now – start APPRECIATING yourself – start increasing the VALUE of yourself!
