I’ve been trying out the latest icebreaker socks lately and as I’ve found with almost all socks you should never use “made for biking” socks while out trail running. I’ve gone running in icebreaker’s biking socks and my feet were rubbing and things just didn’t feel that good.

Then I tried on the running socks. The only reaction I can offer is Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever tried on a more comfortable sock. Typically I’m running on the Baden Powell trail network on the North Shore and my feet/shoes/socks take a beating. After going for a run in icebreaker’s new running socks I was amazed. My feet felt like they were in slippers! Those big fluffy, heavily layered, super thick fabric slippers. I have never gone running and had my feet feel that good during and after a hard trail run. Now that’s not even the best part!

After a trail run, my shoes/feet/socks are always dirty and usually don’t smell like roses. You know the smell. Well one of the best things about icebreakers products, including the socks, is that, even after a hard workout, they don’t stink.

No stink in a small condo makes the wife happy!!!

Keep on running!
